Exclusivity, elegancy and most of all tranquillity. with thanks to the forsight and ingenuity of father, his children were able to succeed in realising this wonderful resort in acquacalda, one of the most beautiful, natural and unspoilt parts of the island. acquacalda is a small beach area which extends out of the majestic white pumice mountains, in which it’s quarries shares exclusivity only with turkey. A pumice visitor centre museum is envisaged to be built in the near future in a nearby location, showing all the traditional ways of working with the famous stone. the residence acquacalda is being realised out of several traditional outbuildings and workshops where this stone was once worked and shaped for building material. The residence keeps faith to its vernacular architecture on two levels, some with mansard roofs providing 21 one and two bedroom flats giving a total of 44 beds. the rooms care has been taken to furnish these buildings with traditional customs. All windows and doors are in traditional timber, all floors in terracotta and original local stone walls have been left untouched where possible. Most of the furniture is in pastel green timber which makes the room, pleasant and warm reflecting the aeolian hospitality. all units are equipped with hob, fridge, bath with shower, lcd tv with satellite, air conditioning, safe, balcony/terrace with sea views. The newly built solarium is within easy reach of all the apartment our location the residence acquacalda overlooks the sea just infront of the island of panarea and stromboli. Salina and filicudi are also at a short distance. By boat they are 10 mins, 30 mins and 55 mins respectively. The island of vulcano is less than one mile away famed for it’s natural mud baths and crystal clear waters. acquacalda is approx. 7 km from the town of lipari and 5 km from the famous beach of canneto. acquacalda boasts of two bar/restaurants, one rosticerie/pizzeria, a post office and a fully equipped beach approx. 100m from the resort.
